Then browse. If you don’t find what you want, try another chapter. The format of the book should make sense when you look at the table of contents. The chapters are short for two reasons:

1. So experienced customers can go directly to the subject that interests them.

2. So inexperienced customers don’t have to try and digest the entire book as one chunk. The human mind doesn’t work that way; it absorbs by bits and pieces and then creates its own understanding.

Even if you could absorb a book in one sitting, you can’t have confidence in an idea until it belongs to you. For this reason the "business" attitude is repeated throughout the book. If you read the message enough times it will begin to seem like a normal and sensible way to deal with a lawyer. And it is normal; many, many customers take this attitude. You want to be one of them.
